Recruiters to be responsible for providing new places for jobseekers to ‘hang-out’.
As social media creeps further into the hiring process, jobseekers are craving initiative. So it is the responsibility of recruiters to brand themselves as something a little different.
At the recent Social Media in Recruitment Unconference (#Trulondon), social media in recruitment evangelist, Jim Stroud, suggested it is the responsibility of all hiring companies to brand themselves online. Answering recruitment strategist, Andy Headworth’s question about blogging, Jim said: “Brand [your business] as THE recruiter in your [specific] field. This will attract the passive candidates.”
