CIM says marketing recruitment boosts business growth
Hiring skilled marketing professionals can help businesses and organisations grow at a faster rate, it has been claimed.
Ray Jones, head of communications and external affairs at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), said that marketing recruitment activity is key for firms looking to broaden their horizons. He noted that the CIM is currently hiring marketers itself, having recognised the abilities of such professionals to increase brand awareness and drive revenue.
Mr Jones said it is clear that qualified marketers can help accelerate growth by carefully segmenting the market. They also ensure good value on marketing spend "and generally help businesses achieve the long-term sustainable growth that they are looking for", he added.
Earlier this week, the UK Media Advertising Revenue Forecast predicted that economic growth and a consumer sentiment rebound would boost the advertising industry this year.
The 2010 growth estimate was revised to three percent from the previously-published expectation of a one per cent decline.
