Whether you’re a jobseeker, recruiter, HR professional or industry voyeur, these scribes are sure to satisfy.  In no particular order, here’s a compelling collection of some of the UK’s most pre-eminent individual recruitment blogs. 

Gary Franklin’s Blog

Gary Franklin is a passionate recruiter, keen networker and a social media enthusiast.  Gary’s varied opinions are forthright and personnel, producing a mix of insight and empathy.  Good content for anyone entrenched in the hiring process.

Sirona Says 

With his fresh outlook on social recruiting, HR and recruitment, Andy Headworth transforms his recruitment expertise into bite-sized, sometimes satirical articles. Intelligent industry opinions are met with tips for jobseekers, often translated through videos and pod-casts.

Mr Resourceful 

Describing himself as a ‘resource monkey’, Nick Tomlinson tackles the recruiting jungle with a satirical scythe and a backpack rammed with titillating tools for survival. His work might sometimes have been written by Eddie Izzard, as his piece on wearing a chicken to an interview, attests.

The Social Recruiter 

Peter Gold’s blog profile reads: “A direct recruiting consultant with a passion for social media and running in harsh places. This site aims to help you become a better recruiter and has nothing to do with running!” This says much about the blog, and the writer. He ain’t won awards for nowt, you know.

Only Marketing Jobs

What started as a blog specific to the marketing jobs industry has evolved to transcend recruitment, social media, industry events and all-round career advice. Essential reading for UK marketers and a great resource for both in-house and agency recruiters. Guest articles welcomed.
